Kenikan is a martial arts club situated in the center of Aarhus (Denmark). Our focus is to transmit the traditional martial arts that are passed on to us by our teachers, as unchanged and authentic as possible.
Defender: Kohno Akikazu, Attacker: Yokota Takao
The club is an official branch office of the japanese organisation Yawara no kai and it is affiliated with the Roppokai organisation via the Odense branch office. Last but not least, Kenikan is member of DGI (the Danish Gymnastics and Sports Associations).
What does Kenikan offer?
Currently, it possible to train three tradtitonal japanese martial arts which are still relatively unknown in the West as well as in the East. The three arts are:
- Daiwa ryu... martial arts with ancient roots - Daito ryu... selfdefence within the court
- Yagyu shingan ryu... battlefield jujutsu
